Welcome to the TagAlong Community!

There are two key roles:

(1) Host - Create an event and invite others to TagAlong or

(2) TagAlong - Find an event and opt-in to TagAlong

All users agree and commit to creating safe & meaningful experiences by adhering to the expectations outlined below.

Anyone can become a TagAlong host and  create an event. We are excited to help you share your talents, interests and passions with others.

TagAlong participants are counting on you to create experiences that are fun, safe and consistent with the following host expectations. Please flag any events that do not align with the expectations.

  1. Do what you say - TagAlong participants are trusting you to create and deliver a quality event experience. As a host, you are expected to plan and coordinate essential event logistics, to clearly communicate information to attendees and to follow through with events that you post.
  2. Do share your hosting skill and brilliance with other hosts - TagAlong wants to help hosts easily create and follow through with exceptional event experiences. As such, we may use your brilliantly designed events as templates (removing personal detail, of course). We are also counting on your product support and feedback. Please submit your suggestions for host tools or app improvements.
  3. Do mitigate risks - Some activities (such as rock climbing) have inherent risks. Hosts leading these types of activities should have the knowledge & skills necessary (and ensure the selected TagAlongs have the knowledge & skill necessary) to avoid unnecessary risk.
  4. Do make the most out of unforeseen circumstances - Some things (such as weather & human connection) are out of a host’s control. Events may not always go as planned... TagAlongs may not be as cool as their profiles. As a host, do your best to make the experience meaningful & positive, despite unforeseen circumstances or a lack of chemistry.
  5. Do NOT harm - Do not participate in, support or create any events that cause harm to others. Events should NOT include unethical, illegal, illicit or otherwise harmful behaviors or activities. Events should in no way risk or encourage sexual exploitation. TagAlong, LLC will participate fully with authorities in any litigation resulting from harmful activities.
  6. Do be Safe - All activities posted on TagAlong are optional. If you choose to host/attend, you acknowledge that event hosts/attendees are not professionals. All events are social activities and are NOT hosted by organizations (unless otherwise stated). It is your responsibility as a Host/TagAlong to ensure your own safety. Do NOT host/attend events that require skills you do not have or would otherwise pose a risk to your individual safety. **Refer to the TagAlong safety reminders and report (Flag) any suspicious activities or individuals.
  7. Do NOT use TagAlong events for personal or business gain - The mission of TagAlong is to connect people with other people who share their interests and passions.  It is NOT a platform for multi-level marketing recruitment or product sales. It is NOT a platform for guided services.  We reserve the right to remove events and host profiles that violate this expectation and we encourage participants to report hosts who abuse this platform for business gain.
Verified 501©3 non-profit organizations are welcome to post 5K and other fundraising events. *Note that individual fundraising platforms such as Go Fund Me are NOT typically 501(c)3 non-profit.
Cost sharing - hosts can ask attendees for an individual’s event costs, such as the price of a ticket, shared fuel, lodging fees, etc. *Hosts should not profit from cost sharing.
  8. Do NOT post restricted content or promotions - Nudity, pornographic images, salacious text, sexually suggestive content, profanity, violence, abuse, drug paraphernalia, discriminatory content, proprietary content, promotions or otherwise exploitative content is STRICTLY PROHIBITED. Users are encouraged to FLAG restricted content. Posting restricted content may result in account suspension or termination.                                  *See TagAlong Restricted Content for full list of content.

You can also TagAlong to someone else’s hosted event! We are excited to help you connect with a community of others who share your talents and interests.

To ensure that all TagAlong participants have a safe and positive experience, please agree and adhere to the expectations below. Please flag any profiles that do not align with the expectations.

  1. Show up - If you commit to an event, show up & make the best of the experience. If you cannot attend, contact the host within a timeframe that is reasonable to find a replacement.
  2. Show respect - Show respect to hosts, participants and others. Be mindful of what you say & do. Be aware that your words and actions will impact others and the experience.
  3. Do NOT harm - Hosts are expected to create events that are safe & legal. TagAlongs are expected not to engage in any activities that are illegal, unsafe, exploitative or harmful. TagAlong administration will participate fully with authorities in these types of cases.
  4. Be understanding - Some activities have inherent risks or may not go as planned. Be supportive & helpful to hosts in making the most of the unexpected. Some activities or the people attending might not meet your expectations…have fun anyway.
  5. Be honest - Hosts are relying on you to be honest about your identity & your capabilities. Some activities may require certain skill levels or technical gear. Honest communication with hosts may be critical to the safety or success of an event.
  6. Be safe - All activities posted on TagAlong are optional. If you choose to attend (TagAlong), you acknowledge that event hosts are not professionals. All events are social activities and are not hosted by organizations (unless otherwise stated). It is your responsibility as a TagAlong to ensure your own safety. Do not attend events that require skills you do not have or would otherwise pose a risk to your individual safety.
**Refer to the TagAlong Safety Reminders and report (Flag) any suspicious activities or hosts.
  7. Keep it clean and DO NOT post restricted content or promotions - Nudity, pornographic images, salacious text, sexually suggestive content, profanity, violence, abuse, drug paraphernalia, discriminatory content, proprietary content, promotions or otherwise exploitative content is STRICTLY PROHIBITED. Users are encouraged to FLAG restricted content. Posting restricted content may result in account suspension or termination.    *See TagAlong Restricted Content for full list of content.

Meeting up with new people unfortunately has inherent risks.  Although it is not possible to eliminate all inherent risks, you can reduce your risks by taking precautions through safe behaviors. Please consider these safety reminders.

  1. Safety person & plan - Share information about who you are meeting, where you are meeting, what you plan to do and when you plan to be safely home with a designated friend or family member. Ask this designated person to call for help at a certain time if you fail to check in per the plan. *Do not change this plan without updating your safety person.
  2. Safety in numbers - Avoid meeting someone new in an isolated area or private dwelling, especially if the meeting time is at night (when there will be fewer people out and about)
  3. Food and drink - Take precautions when accepting food or drink. It is best to take food or drinks directly from a server and not to leave food or drink unattended. (as this could present an opportunity for illicit substances to be added without your knowledge).
  4. Know your limits - The use of mind-altering substances such as drugs or alcohol increases your safety risks. It is advisable not to try unfamiliar substances with unfamiliar persons.
  5. Ask for character references - Do not be afraid to ask mutual friends for their opinion on the person you intend to meet.
  6. Do a little "online stalking"  in advance. Make sure to also check their host rating on Tagalong.
  7. Consider driving your own car or meeting at a designated location—avoid being picked up at home.
  8. TagTeams - Consider creating a TagTeam with a friend or two for small group activities.
  9. Go with your gut! If you have a bad feeling about a person or situation, safely leave. Do not be afraid to hurt feelings or offend in these cases.
